The Captain Wohlt Inn Bed & Breakfast is nestled in the historic district of German-flavored Hermann, Mo., three blocks from the Mississippi River. Hermannhof Vineyards and the Stone Hill Winery are each less than one mile from the inn. The bed and breakfast provides shuttle service and bicycle rentals for use on the Katy Trail, a "rails to trails" bike path that stretches across most of Missouri.
The bed and breakfast, dating back to the mid-1800s, is comprised of four historic buildings, including the "Captain's Home," "Captain's Neighbor," and two additional brick buildings. The bed and breakfast offers a dining room, multiple sitting areas, a brick patio, deck and garden area. Complimentary full breakfasts, featuring hot entrees such as egg casseroles, are served daily. A meeting room with a large table, audiovisual equipment and complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water is available. Complimentary wireless Internet is available in select areas.
Guestrooms at the inn feature private bathrooms, some with antique claw-foot tubs. Deluxe rooms are business-friendly, featuring workstations and high-speed wireless Internet access. Premium rooms are suite-style units, and feature large bedrooms, sitting areas, kitchenettes and a private outdoor patio or garden. King rooms offer two-person jetted tubs in the bathrooms.
Each guest room at the inn features air-conditioning, radio/alarm clock, a patio, ceiling fans, hair dryers, iron and ironing board, smoke detectors and a living & dining area.
